Floating Mochi – Chè Trôi Nước Trứng Muối

This hearty Chè is specially made for the winter breeze. It showcases Vietnamese version of mochi balls which are made of glutinous rice with melting salted egg stuffing. These mochi balls swim in a cup of warm ginger syrup that is made from palm sugar to add just the right amount of sweetness. A spoonful of coconut milk on top complements the creamy salted egg filling. Sprinkled toasted sesame seeds not only are decorative but also enhance the aroma and flavour in every bite. Only available during winter. Gluten free. Served warm.
